1.interest作及物動詞。
①interestsb.意為使某人感興趣,引起某人注意。如:
Geographydoesntinteresthim.
地理引不起他的'興趣。
②interestsb.in(doing)sth.意為使某人在方面感興趣。如:
Hetriedtointerestmeinbuyingthehouse.
他想說服我買這所房子。
2.interest作名詞。
①意為興趣時,常作不可數名詞。常見短語show/haveinterestin(doing)sth.,意為對錶現出/有興趣。如:
Sheshowedgreatinterestinthemeeting.
她對這次會議表現出極大的興趣。
②意為業餘愛好或感興趣的事時,常作可數名詞。如:
Hehastwogreatinterests.Oneissportsandtheotherismusic.
他有兩大愛好:一個是體育,另一個是音樂。
3.interested是形容詞,常用結構beinterestedin(doing)sth.意為對(做)感興趣,主語是人。如:
Johnisinterestedinhistory.約翰喜歡歷史。
Heisinterestedindrawingpictures.
他對畫畫感興趣。
4.interesting也是形容詞,意為令人感興趣的,既可以作表語,也可以作定語。如:
Thestoryisveryinteresting.這個故事很有趣。
