應當怎樣做好演講的開頭呢?
一、開頭要為聽眾解釋關鍵術語。如果演講的成功與否取決於聽眾能否理解演講中的某些術語或概念，那麼在演講開頭時對關鍵術語加以解釋就顯得格外重要了。
二、開頭要能激發出聽眾的興趣。從本質上說，聽眾是很自私的，他們只是在感到能從演講中有所收穫時才專心去聽演講。演講的開頭應當回答聽眾心中的“我為什麼要聽?”這一問題。
三、開頭要為聽眾說明演講目的。在大多數情況下，演講的開頭應揭示出演講的目的。如果做不到這一點，那麼聽眾要麼會對演講失去興趣，要麼會誤解演講的目的，或者甚至於會懷疑演講者的動機。
四、開頭要能吸引聽眾的注意。演講開頭成敗的關鍵在於能否吸引並集中聽眾的注意力。演講時獲取聽眾注意力的方式隨題材、聽眾和場景的不同而改變，一般可以運用事例、軼聞、經歷、反詰、引言、幽默等手段達此目的。
五、開頭要能爭取到聽眾的信任。有時候，聽眾可能會對演講者的動機發出疑問，或是與演講者持相反的觀點。在諸如此類的場合--特別是想改變聽眾的觀點或行為時--要使演講成功就需要建立或是提高聽眾對演講者的信任感。

演講注意事項
1、開頭的第一句話聲音必定要響亮，吸引大家的注意力。有的選手聲音很小或聲音很平，在開場時就已經佔了劣勢。
2、開場的前一分鐘很重要，在這一分鐘裡要用你慷慨激昂的聲音和活潑豐富的.內容吸引觀眾，否則觀眾失去了興趣，就會弄得最後沒聽懂你在說些什麼，變成了自言自語。

4、語言要流暢，(必須對演講稿重複熟悉)，聲音要響亮，語氣激昂，抑揚頓挫，飽含情感地講述，保持放鬆的心態，以微笑面對觀眾，用適當的手勢。用真摯和熱情的心去演講，這些都是取得成功的不二法則。
5、多講些活潑感人的事例，有的選手去講營銷的理論知識，讓人聽得很枯燥，而一些選手是將營銷的方法融入到自己的實際工作中去，透過具體事例講自己如何在工作利用營銷方法取得了成功，這樣才會吸引觀眾。
6、煽情有時真的很重要，在挑釁主持人的節目裡常常有些選手用煽情打動觀眾來拉票，人是情感動物，在被激動的同時自然也會偏向於此。有位選手講自己的孩子生病了，但自己忙於工作無暇照顧，說的很動情流淚，觀眾被打動了，評委也被打動了，結果她的分數就很高。
7、有的選手在上場時先是客套一番，感謝領導給這個機會，感謝領導的栽培。不知領導是否真的愛聽這些話，但我個人認為，這是演講比賽，不是說致酒辭，作為普通觀眾來說聽這些話感到很羅嗦，很虛偽，容易讓觀眾失去興趣，反倒是開門見山，介紹完自己和標題後便進入主題的演講更吸引人。
