1.I'm sorry,but I have an emergency to attend to.
不好意思,我有個急事要處理.
emergency就是我們中文裡所說的"突發事件,緊急狀況".而"attend to"就是"處理,對付"的意思.相同的表達還有:

我有一些急事要處理.
3.I really don't enjoy that kind of activity.
我不喜歡那樣的活動.
在拒絕別人邀請的時候,直接一點也未免不是一件壞事,畢竟找藉口對於一些人來說也不是那麼簡單的.這麼一句"I really don't enjoy that kind of activity",就達到了目的`,何樂而不為呢?
4. I can't at that time,but I'm happy to help you with something else later.
這會兒我幫不上忙,不過以後有事我很願意幫你.
至於以後有事你真的會不會幫忙,這就不得而知了.但是至少這麼句話一說,別人聽了舒服.
5.I'm afraid I'm committed to something else.
我有別的事情要做.
"commit"詞一出,就會讓人感覺你在全心全意地工作著(give all your time and effort to your work).那麼這時誰還敢打擾你呢?
6. I'm sure you will do fine on your own.
我相信你自己可以做好的.
"on one's own"就是"獨立,自主"的意思.比如:
7.I can't carry it on my own; it's too heavy.
我無法獨自攜帶它,太重了.
8.Sorry but that isn't my strong suit.
不好意思,那個不是我的強項.
在英語中呢,sb's strong suit就是指某人的特長,優勢:A field in which, or task at which, one is quite capable.
9.I'm trying to focus on finishing off some other things.
我正忙著處理一些其他的事情呢.
focus on sth/doing sth就是集中注意力做某事的意思.
finish off sth的意思就是"完成,做最後加工"
10.I need about an hour to finish off this report.
我需要一小時左右結束這篇報告.
11.They finished off the show with one of their most famous songs.
他們用自己的一首最著名的歌曲作演出的壓臺戲.
12.Unfortunately,I've had a few things come up.
不好意思,我手頭有一些事情要處理.
come up就是"發生"的意思(to happen)
13.I'm afraid something urgent has come up.
恐怕有緊急事情發生.
14.We'll let you know if any vacancies come up.
一有空缺,我們就會通知你.
15.I can't right now,but maybe later.
我現在辦不了,可能過幾天吧.
